Catalina Margarita

A margarita hybrid rather far from the original, with peach liqueur instead of triple sec. Blue Curacao and blue sugar makes this a real umbrella cocktail, even without the umbrella.

2 cl tequila 100 % agave reposado
2 cl Peachtree liqueur
1 cl Blue Curacao syrup
2 cl fresh lime juice
Splash of egg white

Garnish: blue cocktail sugar and lime wedge

Wet the rim of a chilled margarita or cocktail glass. Place the glass face down in a saucer of sugar. The lime juice will ensure that the salt sticks. Fill the shaker with ice and all the ingredients. Shake and strain into the sugar-rimmed glass. Garnish with the lime wedge.

Sour Teppeltini

Another hybrid, this with sweet and sour apples.

2,5 cl tequila 100 % agave blanco
1,5 cl Sourz appel sour
2 cl fresh lime juice
Splash of egg white

Garnish: salt and physalis

Wet the rim of a chilled margarita or cocktail glass and place the glass face down in a saucer of salt. The lime juice will ensure that the salt sticks. Fill the shaker with ice and all the ingredients. Shake and strain into the salt rimmed glass. Fold up and twist the leaves on the physlis, slice through half the fruit. Place it on the rim and serve.

Strawberry Margarita

A cousin of the margarita and maybe even of the daiquiri? Always use fresh berries, or unsweetened separatly frozen berries.

4 cl tequila 100 % agave blanco
2 cl triple sec
Fresh lemon juice
Syrup
Ice
6 - 8 strawberries

Garnish: a strawberry (if you manage to get fresh ones)

Put all ingredients into a blender with a glass of ice. Blend until the ingredients are mixed and the consictency gets slow and thick. Pour into a margarita glass. Garnish with a fresh strawberry that is placed on the rim of the glass.

Peach Margarita

Another cousin of the margaria with fresh tropic flavours.

4 cl tequila 100 % agave blanco
2 cl triple sec
Lemon juice
Sugar syrup
Ice
Slices of a peach

Garnish: a slice of fresh peach or a physalis

Put all ingredients into a blender with a glass of ice. Blend until the ingredients are mixed and the consictency gets slow and thick. Pour into a margarita glass. Garnish with a juicy slice of peach or a physalis which is placed on the rim of the glass.

Frozen Margarita

One of the world's most celebrated drinks, eventhough it's actually a hybrid of the original. The recipies vary somewhat depending on who you ask and what part of the world you're in, but the original recipe goes along the lines of:

4 cl tequila 100 % agave blanco
2 cl triple sec
3 cl fresh lime juice
Ice

Garinsh: lime wheel

Put all ingredients into a blender with a glass of ice. Blend until the ingredients are mixed and the consictency gets slow and thick. Pour into a margarita glass. Garnish with a lime wheel.

Gran Margarita

A more exclusive variant on the orginal. An aņejo tequila and Grand Marnier give a softer, creamier and a more round taste. The sweet spirits meet the flake salt in a fine balance that preserves the feeling of the famous margarita.

2,5 cl tequila 100 % agave aņejo
1,5 cl Grand Marnier
2 cl fresh lime juice
A splash of egg white

Garnish: flake salt

Fill a shaker with ice and add all the ingredients. Shake vigourously for ten seconds. Rub lime juice along the rim of a cocktail or margarita glass and place the glass face down in a saucer of flake salt. The lime juice will ensure that the salt sticks. Fill with the ingredients from the shaker.
